I've been looking for Mr. Shannon Holopainen for many days.
I saw him at Point X this afternoon after a long time.
And I asked him to send me e-mail about the reasons.
I received e-mail from Shannon tonight.
Howdy Hiro. It was good to run into you again today. I caught one cod and a javelin fish after you left. I noticed that the area behind where we were fishing becomes quickly filled with shallow water as the tide comes in. Lots of small mullet entered the area, and I noticed some larger fish attacking them. I waded into the area, as it was only 30cm deep, and saw that the larger fish were blue salmon. I had one hit from one before leaving.
I've attached a few photos for you.
The Daiwa reel I was using today is a TD-Z 2506C Type R Plus
It is as light as the same size Exist, but has more ball bearings, and I personally prefer its appearance. The last photo has a picture of this real, attached to a Loomis NRX 822S DSR, with a barramundi caught at Yellow Waters.
The barramundi and tarpon in the photos were caught using a 2000 Stella, matched with a Loomis GLX SR-842, #0.6 PE Duel Super Smooth line, 20lb Sunline rockfish leader, a TT Jighead with a Megabass Super X-Layer lure. The mangrove jack was caught using the same, but on a worm hook with split-shot rig. The Barramundi was 66cm. With my girlfriend, we caught 20 Barramundi at Shady camp that morning, as well as many Tarpon.
Until I see you again, my kindest regards,
Shannon Holopainen.
☆⌒(*^-゚)v Thanks!! Shannon.
Now, I understood where you were!
And you must be a very big land based Barramundi fishing lover.
