Barramundi #1212
Bluesalmon #9
Squidgies Fish 70mm

July 14, Sunday.
The 2019 Darwin Lions Beer Can Regatta was held at the Mindil beach.
I had fun fishing at the Myilly point rocks in the bustle and noisy atmosphere of an annual festival event.
The wind was blowing strongly.
Still, the sea surface wasn't very wavy.
It generally blows hard but the sea surface isn't very wavy in the Mindil area at this time of year.
The water was cold.
The difference between high and low tide was small.
The tides were moving slowly.
The water was clear.
Normally, barramundi have the trait of being cautious and watchful in a very clear and calm water.
Luckily, the water was partly murky with strong wind in the shallow water.
This situation was effectual.
Someone caught a big barramundi.
I caught a 48cm barramundi and a bluesalmon.
I spread a Halco Catch Scent on a soft plastic bait every 15 minutes.
That might work.
I released a barramundi into the water.
I wanted to take the bluesalmon home and put that fish in a small tide pool.
The bluesalmon might be taken by a big bird when I was working on casting a soft plastic bait.

Barramundi #1194
Squidgy pro Mongrel 90mm
Halco Catch Scent

It's a windy day.
My usual fishing locations have been quiet due to some windy conditions.
I went fishing at Channel Island on Saturday, February 9.
There were six people including me.
If I had to say, it's too many people for the small fishing location.
Someone caught and released a small barramundi.
For a while afterward, the fish did not bite.
The conditions was certainly far from ideal.
I decided to take the fish-feeding stimulant for that quiet condition.
If it were usual, I would use Squidgies S-Factor Fishing Scent.
This time, I used Halco Catch Scent first time.
Soon, I had a short fish-bite but couldn't hook the fish.
I cast a Squidgy Pro Mongrel 90mm out again in the same direction.
As a result, I caught and released a barramundi.

The tide was going out rapidly.
The best tide shifts with the best fishing point every minute.
I waded in the water at the 30m distance from shore.
The water came up my knees.
I was not aware of the approaching danger.
"Crocodile" shouted the my friend, Alan.
I saw a 2-3m crocodile.
The distance to the crocodile was 50m.

Barramundi #1020 and Crocodile
Halco Roosta Popper 80mm

I went fishing to the creek near my place starting early in the morning.
A good result could be expected at the creek from today's tides in the morning.
03:52am -- 1.90m
10:12am -- 6.46m
I started fishing before sunup.
The tide water had not come in yet.
I felt the water began to move after a while.
I was fishing using a Halco Roosta Popper 80mm Gold colour.
The water current had not been strong yet.
A great splash broke the morning calm in the dark.

As soon as the sun was up, I also hooked a 1.3m crocodile on this popper.

Crocodiles live quite near a town.
It isn't uncommon these days.

Soon the water current became very strong.
The productive fishing window was up very quickly.

Halco Rooster popper 60mm
74cm barramundi #979
Maria MJ-1 S110F

I left my place a little past 7:30am on last Saturday.
I went to a petrol station nearby my place first.
I had my 150cc scooter filled up at the petrol station.
It took 60minutes from my place to that fishing location by my scooter.

The tides were good.
I expected that there would be frequent fish's strikes on my lures.
I wasn't counting on that.
I had hundreds of the twitching actions on my lures with fatiguing my left arm.
I'm 55 years old now.
I needed frequent breaks.
Using a small popper, I was relaxing my left arm.
A 64cm barramundi suddenly took a Halco Rooster popper 60mm into the water.
The fishing line was forcibly pulled by this 64cm fish many times at short intervals.
So suddenly that  I could not help checking the hooking, but in another moment I recovered myself, feeling sure that it must be a real barramundi fishing.
I enjoyed his forcibly pulling fishing line very much.

The water current became slow.
A 74cm barramundi suddenly jumped.
A very heavy barramundi took my MJ-1.
He jumped again.
Mj-1 was very effective for catching a barramundi in the shallow water  on shore.

Barramundi #936-937
The productive fishing windows were wide.

The tides on march 28 as follows,
05:39am 2.67m
12:01pm 5.60m
18:19pm 3.99m
23:39pm 4.91m

I thought that I had to go fishing just after 5:39am when I saw the above tide schedule.
It had rained yesterday.
There would be quite a bit of freshwater remaining in the sea at the Mindil Beach.
So I went to the Fannie Bay to fish.
I may safely say that this is the most approved way.
The sea was nicely rippled and very clear.
It was very easy to wade through the shallow water.
The productive fishing windows were wide.

I caught a barramundi on popper first.

Monsoon rains
HALCO LASER PRO 45 STD

We had a very, very monsoon rains on this weekend.
That's very nice!

I went to see the water conditions on the shore.
Very thick mud was washed out into the sea by big rains.
Much oxygen was kept in the water by very wavy conditions.
The water became very muddy in colour.

Seasonally very wavy conditions are very important for our land based fishing.

It's very hard to catch Barramundi during the monsoon rains by land based on the shore.
The best time for catching many good size salt water Barramundi from the shore in the rainy season is when we have had no rain for 24 hours, but there is plenty of rain falling overall that season as above.

The sea conditions were very bad for fishing.
I gave up catching fish today.
On the other hand, I thought that it's a good opportunity for checking a very good lure.

I have thought that HALCO's lures were very good lures for the boat fishing.
But I found that HALCO has produced a very good lure for the light spinning tackles by land based on the shallow water.

HALCO LASER PRO 45 STD has a long bib.

But you can control many actions of your HALCO LASER PRO 45 STD on the 20cm - 30cm deep shallow water.
Amazing!
A very good lure can avoid going into snagging by following the water current.

Using HALCO LASER PRO 45 STD, you will think (misunderstand) that you've already had a very skilled technique of lure fishing.
You'll want to buy SHIMANO STELLA and GLoomis or ST. CROIX as soon as possible.
(*^^*)
That's the very thing a beginner of the lure fishing wanted.

But I should tell you (if you're a very beginner) not to go off half-cocked.
You need more practices.
This lure is too good!
Yes, it's a very, very good lure for the very shallow water.

I haven't caught many fish with this lure yet. v(。・・。)

Ladyfish 6
HALCO LASER PRO 45

We had a very big rain three days ago.
And we had some small rains after a big rain.
We had no rain today.

The sea was very wavy.
It's very hard to fish on the shore.

I went to check the water to our urban lagoon.
The water temperature and oxygen were getting better.

As a result,
Ladyfish  and Tarpon are good baits for a nice sized Barramundi in this season.
