Barramundi #1020 and Crocodile Halco Roosta Popper 80mm

I went fishing to the creek near my place starting early in the morning.
A good result could be expected at the creek from today's tides in the morning.
03:52am -- 1.90m
10:12am -- 6.46m
I started fishing before sunup.
The tide water had not come in yet.
I felt the water began to move after a while.
I was fishing using a Halco Roosta Popper 80mm Gold colour.
The water current had not been strong yet.
A great splash broke the morning calm in the dark.

As soon as the sun was up, I also hooked a 1.3m crocodile on this popper.

Crocodiles live quite near a town.
It isn't uncommon these days.

Soon the water current became very strong.
The productive fishing window was up very quickly.

Barramundi #936-937 The productive fishing windows were wide.

The tides on march 28 as follows,
05:39am 2.67m
12:01pm 5.60m
18:19pm 3.99m
23:39pm 4.91m

I thought that I had to go fishing just after 5:39am when I saw the above tide schedule.
It had rained yesterday.
There would be quite a bit of freshwater remaining in the sea at the Mindil Beach.
So I went to the Fannie Bay to fish.
I may safely say that this is the most approved way.
The sea was nicely rippled and very clear.
It was very easy to wade through the shallow water.
The productive fishing windows were wide.

I caught a barramundi on popper first.

Trevally on small popper Megabass Pop X Mr. Dave Krantz

The surface of the sea is flat or slightly rippled.
The above condition should be bad for catching a barramundi on the shallow water.
But the condition like this should be good for catching a trevally on a small popper.

My very good friend, Mr. Dave Krantz who organizes my fishing column of NT News caught a trevally on a small popper.

It's very hard to find a calm water point.
Very wavy today.

Finally, I found a calm water.

I like this little popper very much.
Red/Gold should be very fish's friendly colour of popper.
My Japanese good friend J said so.

I love topwater fishing very much.
It's really exciting.

Please don't laugh at the size.
Even the smallest Trevally was strongly fun fish.

September is the hardest time for Barramundi fishing on the shore.
September last year wasn't good.
My good friends said so too.
October should be the best time.

By the way, Japanese good friends of mine caught Queenfish, Trevally, Whiting and Bream with a small Popper on the shallow in Darwin in September.

I thought that I didn't need to try catching Barramundi now.
I followed their advices.
My good friend J said that small Popper should be Red/Gold in colour.
