Barramundi #1189
Catfish #50
Zerek Flat Shad 110mm

When I look back, I realize that Darwin had only two days of the calm days in December.
I went fishing at Mindil Beach rocks on December 28.
The sea was still having a dirty water with the coral spawn.
However, the condition was getting better.
There were thousands of rocks covered with oysters in the water.
Needless to say, what I'm always aiming at is catching barramundi.
The barramundi was hiding behind rocks at a depth of 30 - 50 cm.
Using a soft plastic lure "weedless", I can effectively catch barramundi in a place like this.
I used a Zerek Flat Shad 110mm.
The wind rippled the surface of the sea.
The wind condition can either positively or negatively affect the quality of the fishing.
The wind gave the motivation to fish.
I had a strong fish bite on my lure.
It's a strong fish.
Without looking at that fish, I recognized "not barramundi" with a special feeling at once.
I caught and released a catfish.

Soon, I had a strong fish bite on my lure again.
I recognized barramundi's bite at once.
Barramundi draws with irregular and more complicated motion during the fighting.
As a result, I caught and released a barramundi.

By the way, I used Squidgies S-Factor as a fish-feeding stimulant.
The user can get the better fish-catch rates simply by applying the gel to a body of the soft plastic lure.
Zerek Flat Shad has a suitable design for using Squidgies S-Factor.

Catfish #49
52cm Barramundi #1188
Queenfish #31

Sunday on December 23,
Location: Fannie Bay rocks
Fish: Catfish
Lure: Zerek Flat Shad 110mm
Lure colour: White mainly
The sea was slightly wavy.
The water was dirty with the coral spawn.
It rained heavily on the previous day.
The sea barramundi don't like this water condition on shore.
By contrast, the catfish will take lures in this water condition.
As expected, I caught a catfish.
The hook was bent and broken by this catfish.

Monday on December 24,
Location: Channel Island
Fish: Barramundi
Lure: Squidgy Pro Mongrel 90mm
Lure colour: Dark blue mainly
There was a dirty water with the coral spawn in a very shallow water side.
There was a clean water across the dirty water.
I cast the lure to the clean water side.
I used Squidgies S-Factor as a fish-feeding stimulant.
As a result, I caught a 52cm barramundi after 3 weeks.

Tuesday on December 25,
Location: Channel Island
Fish: Queenfish
Lure: Squidgy Pro Mongrel 90mm
Lure colour: White mainly
The water was very dirty with the fresh water as a result of the heavy rain on the previous day.
I had to cast the lure to a clean water across the dirty water.
I caught a queenfish.

I thought it would be best to concentrate on improving casting distance for the land based fishing on lure.

Barramundi #1185
Catfish #48
Golden Snapper #21
Rockcod #343
Blue Salmon #8
Trevally #49

Though it's Wednesday, the Channel Island was very crowded with fishing people.
I should avoid fishing locations where people crowd.
Thursday on November 22, I went fishing at Fannie Bay rocks.
There wasn't anyone at this place but me.
I used a 6'6" medium-action fishing rod.
Usually, a medium-action fishing rod is cheaper than a fast-action fishing rod.
I think a medium-action fishing rod useful for beginners.
You can enjoy lure fishing at reasonable price.
The result will be better than you expected.
As a result, I caught a catfish, golden snapper, rockcod and barramundi on Zerek Live Cherabin 100mm having a white colour.

Thursday on November 23, I went fishing at Mindil Beach rocks.
The weather of the wet season is unstable.
The thunder was rolling in the distance.
I used Yo-zuri Pin's Minnow 90mm having a gold colour.
I used a 8'6" long-sized medium-action fishing rod.
As a result, I caught a 50cm blue salmon.
This fish was a good fighter.

Soon, the thunderstorm broke.
I didn't want to be struck by lightning.

Sunday on November 25,
I went fishing at a place near my place.
As was to be expected, there were not many people there.
I used Yo-zuri Pin's Minnow 90mm and 8'6" long-sized medium-action fishing rod again.
As a result, I caught a 50cm GT.
This fish was very tenacious.

I made sushi with GT.
I had normal sushi and zuke-sushi for a late lunch.
The flesh in fish that was marinated in soy sauce and mirin seasoning with a little ginger.

When making sushi, forming of bite sized sweet-vinegar rice is the highlight for sushi chef to show his technique.

Barramundi #1143-1144
Rockcod #341
Catfish #47
Yo-zuri Mag Minnow 90F
Zerek Venus Trap 50S
About how I spend Sunday.

I'm living near the water for fishing.
On my days off   I'm usually out, going out for fishing.
This is about how I spend Sunday.
"The best tide shifts with the best fishing point every hour."

Sunday of June 3
First, I went fishing at Mindil Beach.
I caught and released two barramundi there.
I used Yo-zuri Mag Minnow 90mm Floating.
This lure has an amazing cast-distance.
It's a very effective lure for the rocky shallow water.
The seawater was so clear that I could catch these barramundi while viewing the barramundi that was swimming in the shallow water.

Second, I went on fishing at East Point.
I waded through a knee-deep shallow water to the rocks.
We always must look out for crocodiles there.
I caught and released a small rockcod on Zerek Venus Trap 50mm Vibration Sinking.
This lure looks great and is very well made.

Rockcod #341

Zerek Venus Trap 50mm Vibration Sinking

After that, I had lunch at my place.
Mindi Beach and East Point are 10minutes away by my scooter from my place.
I went fishing at Fannie Bay after lunch.
I caught and released a catfish.
Yo-zuri Mag Minnow 90mm Floating did good work again.

Catfish #47

Yo-zuri Mag Minnow 90mm Floating

Since the frequency of the neap tide is higher recently, a nice sized barramundi won't come near the shallow waters in the day time.
In this case, the transparency of the seawater has increased.
I can fish whatever sight-fishing I like in this situation.

But after all, I love "Barramundi fishing".
Barramundi #865
Catfish #46
Rockcod #315
MARIA MJ-1 S110F
YO-ZURI SSMINNOW

I didn't go fishing recently.
An aggressive 3m saltwater crocodile was seen lying at the water's edge at a popular beach in Darwin on April 22.
Indeed, the 3m saltwater crocodile was too dangerous for me to wade through our shallows.

The weather today was good for doing my fishing.

I needed another good lure to replace REBEL MINNOW 115mm.
Finally I found it.
MARIA MJ-1 S110F is very good for twitching and jerking on our shallows..

I caught catfish, rockcod and barramundi by using MARIA MJ-1 S110F today.
Using a very high-performance lure, I reaffirmed the importance of baitcaster.
Baitcaster was definitely fun and exciting.

In addition, I thought casting and hooking with baitcaster should be a little more fun, it takes a bit more skill.

I did many different kinds of lures, but of course the hard-body twitchbait and jerkbait lures were the best of all to enjoy the lure-fishing on our shallows.

I twitched MARIA MJ-1 S110F.
The dragging force of catfish and rockcod was simply very heavy.
Barramundi snatched the lure with changing the direction.
I love that moment very much.
But after all, I love "Barramundi fishing" the best.

How stupid of me!
A nice keeper sized barramundi was washed away by the wave after landing on the rock.
Catfish #45
SQUIDGY PRO MONGREL

My very good friend, Stephen Lew, and I went fishing to the big rock this morning.
The water was favorable sandy brown in colour.
I caught a nice sized barramundi and landed the fish on the rock.
We shouted at each other, 'Nice keeper size!'.
But the wave washed away the fish in another moment.
It was very stupid of me to do that!

As a result,

Sunday
Catfish #44
Reefcod #4
SQUIDGY FISH

The water current was fast.

What was the cause of the failure?
I should have gone fishing at night.

There should be more chances to catch a barramundi at the mouth of the urban creek at the highest tide at night.

I bought curry roux at Woolworth.
I cooked it for my dinner tonight.
I enjoyed it.
I gave up going out.

As a result,
