Barramundi #1174
Bomber Long A 14A

Season 4 of Million Dollar Fish is on again.
There are more possibilities you will get that this season.
Nothing will start unless you act first, though.
A friend of mine made a brooch of barramundi for me.

This is a lucky charm.
The present statue is the second in brooch of barramundi.
This barramundi has a red tag on the back.
I went fishing at Mindil Beach rocks on September 22.
The tides were delicate.
I knew the sea water was 'Not good condition' the moment I looked.
The colour and transparency were similar to fresh water pond.
It's not too much better in barramundi fishing when the sea water is this kind of the colour and transparency.
I caught and released a small barramundi somehow.
The small barramundi was hiding behind rocks at a depth of 50cm.

This was my 1174 barramundi on lure by land based.
I used Bomber Long A 14A.

This lure is a standard item for barramundi fishing.
By the way, I have recorded all barramundi I caught on lure in my blog.
Using those data, AI (Artificial Intelligence) will be able to predict the productive fishing windows in quite sure detail in future.

Barramundi #1135-1139
Akame Tackle Guppy 120
Bomber Long A 14A

I had a three-day weekend, may 5, May 6 and May 7.
I thought that I would go fishing on May 5 and May 6 after seeing those tide-tables.
Even if I were to go fishing on May 7, I should be bored.
Because the water currents caused by tides should be become slack on May 7.
There are exceptions to it, however.
That is fishing.
That being the case, I went fishing at Mindil Beach on May 5 and Myilly Point on May 6.

May 5: Mindil Beach rocks
The seawater was very clear.
The barramundi should be very cautious.
I used some lures.
Firstly, it was my first time using Akame Tackle Guppys 120.
I found it at the local store.
It was a very durable weedless soft plastic.

Secondly, I was able to have that reconfirmed.
I do like Bomber Long A!

May 6: Myilly Point rocks
It is in a place that is about 5minutes away from the central part of Darwin by my scooter.
The dry season has just started.
The seawater was cooler than the seawater in April.
There are many rocks covered with oysters in this shallow water.
I used Akame Tackle's Guppy 120 again.
It is a very durable weedless soft plastic.
It also has superior cast-ability.
It did very good work for the land based barramundi fishing again.
Akame Tackle is based in Darwin.
I didn't know it.

Barramundi #1103-1105
Bomber Long 15A
Squidgies Fish 70mm
Rapala Original 130mm

I found it difficult to catch a nice sized barramundi from a high rock.
My video, Land based barramundi fishing near town in Darwin Vol, 35, will tell you that I missed a nice sized one.
I went fishing at Myilly point rocks on Saturday morning.
I thought that there were many barramundi in this area.
But, lots of little barramundi.

First, I used Bomber Long 15A Gold.
Using a soft fishing rod, I created abnormal action of my lure, like injured pray.
It was very important how to add life to a lure with my fishing rod and reel.

Rod: Samaki Zing Xtreme SZX-661BM 6'6" Line: 8-14lb Cast: 1/4-5/8oz Action: Moderate
Reel: Shimano Scorpion 70XG Gear ratio 8.2:1 very fast

As a result, I missed a nice sized barramundi, but I caught a small one.

Second, I used Squidgies Fish 70mm Lime Lighting.
This is a soft plastic shad lure.
So matching the bait to the location is the most important aspect of any land based fishing.
When I use a soft plastic shad lure, the most important thing is not "Much the hatch".
A soft plastic shad lure should be swum like a small fish, and its vibration of swimming of the soft plastic shad lure can be transmitted precisely to an angler side.
This is something which is easy to forget, so you should be careful too.
For example, after a heavy rain, you cannot feel the vibration of swimming of the soft plastic shad lure very much.
As a result, I caught a small barramundi on Squidgies Fish 70mm Lime Lighting.

Sunday morning, I went fishing at Mindil beach rocks.
Using Rapala Original minnow 130mm, I had a fun fishing.
There are thousands of rocks covered with oysters in shallow water.
Many people lost lures in this area.
However, skilled anglers can adequately enjoy fishing barramundi on lures by land based here.

Rapala Original minnow 130mm is a light-weight timber lure.
Using a soft fishing rod, I can have tact in managing this lure.

Rockcod #336
Bomber Long 15A
Nicely restaurant sized rockcod
Steamed fish in Hong Kong style

It has been a windy day since yesterday afternoon.
Many sea weeds were thrown upon the beach.
There were many floating seaweeds on the sea surface this morning.
Barramundi won't take lures positively under the condition like this.
There are, indeed, exceptions.
As far as my experience goes, the red-white lure is effective for the condition under the gloomy light of the street lamp or the morning time.
Rockcod is a very tasty fish if it is steamed properly.
It must be very fresh. No freezing!
I caught a very nicely restaurant-sized rockcod this morning at Fannie Bay.

Queenfish #27
Barramundi #1018
Bomber Long15A

May 14, 2016
I saw Mr. Jack Wong at Fishing Outdoor World in the morning.
He told me when I could access to the rocks in his usual fishing location.
So I went fishing there according to his instruction.
Actually, it's not an ideal tide today but still within the allowable range.

As a result, I caught a small queenfish there.

Barramundi #1015-1016
Bomber Long15A
In a strong water current

Saturday, May 7, 2016

Today's tides were big.
The productive fishing window was short at a fixed fishing location today.
The best tide shifts with the best fishing point every hour.
So I moved to the next fishing spot in accordance with the water depth of the sea.
First, I went to Channel Island and caught a 50cm barramundi on a Squidgy Pro Mongrel in a calm water.
Second, I went to East Point and then caught two barramundi on a Bomber Long 15A in a strong water current.

Do you know how to use the minnow-lure in a strong water current?
I use 2-twitchings and 2-jerkings with a high gear ratio reel. Or I use 1-twitching and 1-jerking with a low gear ratio reel.
Everyone has his own method.

Barramundi #1012 and 62cm barramundi #1013
Bomber Long 15A Chartreuse Flash Black Back Orange Belly

Saturday April 30, 2016

I went to East Point to fish in accordance with the incoming tide early in the morning.
The tides weren't big today.
The currents caused by tides were slowly.
In addition to that, the sea water was very clear.
Moreover, the sea surface was flat.
As might be expected, the results were poor.

I went to Fannie Bay next.
The tide was still coming in.
There were many big oyster-rocks in the water.
A barramundi was hiding in the structures in ambush for their bait fish in a very clear water, particularly, when the sea surface was flat.
I used a Bomber Long 15A with the same colour as the rocks in the water that can obtain a good fishing result even from cautious fish.

As a result, I caught a small barramundi at the fishing spot in Fannie Bay.
.

Barramundi #1012 in the morning April 30, 2016

I went home once.
Afternoon turned into evening.
I went fishing in different clothes to a shallow part of the sea where there were a lot of rocks at Myilly Point.
The tide was slowly coming in.
The wind had risen and the sea surface became wavy.
The water became murky in colour.
The productive fishing window opened for an hour at that spot without moving to other spot.
For the same reason I used a Bomber Long 15A with the same colour as the rocks.
The lure action was done by jerking my fishing rod because the sea surface was wavy.

小エビの時期には、Bomber ゴールド?
Barramundi #1005
Bomber Long 14A Gold

March 10, 2016 Thursday
The tide: 19:30pm -- 7.94m
Is it the season in which dog faced water snakes become lively in March?
These venomous snakes probably won't attack people.
That could be fine if that were true but...

Anyhow I went fishing to a saltwater creek (culvert) tonight.
There was no moonlight.
The big tide water had came into a small creek (culvert).
The sea surface was wavy.
I won't use a soft plastic lure under the condition like that.

To see if there were some snakes, I sometimes shone my torch on the bank of a small creek in front of me.

I have a hypothesis.
Gold Bomber will become more effective for Jelly prawn season.

It might be a lucky hit.
