The dry season has started!
The tides were good.
But Outgoing tide with a strong fair wind wasn't good for Barramundi fishing by land based.
Today is very special.
Who should I fish together there but Mr. Keith Watson!
Keith is one of the monster Barramundi catchers.
He caught a 105cm (Probably 40LB and heavier) Barramundi on 8th. April 2012.
He's caught some 1m and larger Barramundis in his fishing experience.
Keith had a surgical operation recently.
But I took him to 10minutes thick mangrove walk.
Finally, we arrived at Ben's Point. (Secret Point)
This Ben's Point is not easy for catching Barramundi because of a very strong water current.
However,
I should have known that he'd catch fish easily at his new land based point.
Yes, he's, after all, one of the best Barramundi anglers and a master hand of lure casting.
As a result,
Keith caught a nice sized Rockcod. It's bigger than average size here.
Keith caught a Barramundi.
Keith's today's tackle
Reel: SHIMANO TWINPOWER 2500FB
Rod: GLoomis GL2
Lure: SQUIDGY SLICK RIG / BLACK GOLD #1-80mm
Another Rockcod, bigger than average size here.
Nice sized flathead, bigger than Darwin's average size.
