I went fishing at Channel Island.
The tides were anything but good for Channel Island.
Sure enough, only I out of four people caught fish there.
A fishing is a game that has element of chance.
Barramundi fishing whose results are difficult to predict because they are controlled by circumstances of fate.
There was no wind.
The sea surface was very flat.

The flat sea surface can give the wariness to barramundi thereby preventing them from swim in the shallow water.
The result came up to my expectations.
We didn't catch any barramundi.
On the other hand, the result was unexpected.
Normally, I use a 'Fast reel' with a 7.1:1 or 8.2:1 gear ratio, but I used a 'Slow reel' with a 5.7:1 gear ratio at that time at Channel Island.
A 'Slow reel' is effetive for the case that there is no obstacle in the shallow water.
Because the fishing location had a flat sandy and muddy bottom.
As a result, I caught a 58cm nice blue salmon on Squidgies Fish 70mm Lime Lightning colour.
A 58cm blue salmon was a very strong fish.
A quick look at my Youtube channel 'charlietomato' should make the above obvious.
Title: One of the best fights! Using a slow reel, I caught a strong Blue salmon.

Blue salmon is not the real salmon.
Blue salmon are a good table fish.
They have a slightly oily flesh to compare with barramundi.
It is suited for eating by sushi and sashimi with soy sauce and wasabi.
By contrast, barramundi is suited for eating by sashimi with roasted sesame dressing because they don't have a oily flesh.

Thank you very much.
