The seawater temperature has been lowering.
Fish are migrating to a deeper water.
However, barramundi will acclimate themselves to a cold water soon.
And they will come back to my usual fishing locations soon.
I like our dry season very much.
Needless to say, it is nice weather this time of year in Darwin.
The times are right for the land based barramundi fishing too.
- The sea is not wavy.
- The salinity concentration of the sea is stable.
- We don't have any worries about a stroke of lightning.
- It is easy to wade in the water because the water is clear to the bottom on shore.
There were no barramundi.
But I saw some longtom on the sea surface.
I thought of an idea.
I recorded a video how to catch longtom.
This video is useful to beginners in lure fishing for kids.
Using a popper, the best way to work this lure is to reel it in at normal speed, with the rod tip low and giving many short and little shakes.
