Barramundi might become very cautious by very clear water.
I didn't catch any barramundi there.
A little before sunset I went fishing to Mindil Beach.
The seawater was still very clear.
However, it's a windy condition.
The slanting rays of sunset was very effective at relieving barramundi's sense of caution.
I waded in the rocky shallow water not to step on the stingray or stonefish.
The water depth reached a few centimetres about the knee.
First, I cast a Squidgy Pro Mongrel 90mm / Rainbow-Fish colour.
Soon I hooked a nice sized barramundi but missed this first fish.
It was thought that a strong hook was needed.
Second, I cast a Zerek Live Shrimp 127mm using a Jagla setting.
Soon I hooked a nice sized barramundi again.
There were so many rocks covered with oysters in the water.
Winding a 15lb fishing line was carefully done.
As a result, I caught a 59cm barramundi on a Zerek Live Shrimp 127mm using a Jagla setting.
The assist w-hook was much more useful than the main large hook.
Zerek Live Shrimp 127mm using a Jagla setting can provide a very easy fishing scarcely being caught on an obstacle under the water, nor being hooked by a rock when cast or withdrawn.
The circumstance is completed in "Land based barramundi fishing near town in Darwin Vol. 4".
Please watch the movie on YouTube.
