Still, I want to recommend you to use double hooks.
What I mean is that, of course, one must use the treble hooks now and then, but to use them all the time would be impertinence.
Please try to see the expected advantages of the double hook.
- Double hook is hardly caught from the obstacles.
- Double hook can easily be detached without pliers because it doesn't need a split ring between hook and lure. (It rarely would become weakness. But the methods are many various for this problem.)
- Lure looks better with double hooks than with treble hooks to compare with an actual fish. The rear double hook moves so smoothly as they swim around in the sea water. It looks like a tail fin. The front double hook looks like pectoral fins.
- As a bonus, double hooks are also much nicer to fish than using treble hook. They cause less damage for catch and release.
