Friday night 88cm Barramundi Mr. Jack Wong

Jack is a similar typed angler as me.
He always wades on the shore.
He can stay longer on the dangerous rocks during the incoming tide.
And he can fish by land based in the dark.
Probably Jack and I may encounter a crocodile, shark, stingray or stone-fish in the dark.

I received an e-mail from Mr. Jack Wong on Saturday.

Hi Hiro,

I caught this 88cm barramundi last night. Close inspection revealed its right eye is blinded (as shown in the third photo). Released after a few photos. Hooked something else equally powerful soon after but the leader went through halfway through the tussle.

Tackle used:

Rod: St Croix Eyecon 4-8lb
Reel: Shimano Sustain 2500FG
Line: Sunline Super PE 8lb
Leader: Sunline Rock FC 16lb
Snap lock: Decoy Fine wire #1.5 23lb
Lure: Gulp 3" Grub Minnow Banana Prawn
Terminal tackle: Nitro Saltwater 2# 1/8oz
Retrieve technique: Gentle hopping
