Big Mangrovejack SQUIDGY FISHMr. Callum Gamble

My 50cc scooter has clocked up a mileage of 40,000 kilometers since October 2006.
My old scooter is not beautiful now.
But it's in perfect shape, especially the engine, brakes and electrical system.
Fortunately, I know a very, very skilled mechanic.
That's Callum Gamble.

Callum caught a very nice sized mangrovejack in Fiji.

It's my best fish ever.. Land based this morning in Fiji. Released.
I marked its length on my rod I have no tape measure I reckon at least 9 or 10 kg what a beast.

Sunday afternoon 51cm and 52cm Creek Barramundis #838-839 SQUIDGY PRO MONGREL

It rained five days on end.
Continuous rain washed much mad and sand out of our shallows.
I saw many hard rocky bottoms.
That's very nice!

It has stopped raining since this morning.
Sea barramundi stayed on the deep water during the continuous rain.
They should be very hungry.
But there shouldn't be many bait fishes on the shore because of too much fresh water and land water.

I went fishing to the creek.
Some sea barramundis come into the creek in search of their baits after the continuous rain.
That is an inborn pattern of behavior.

The tide was coming into the creek.
The fish windows were very short, opened for only 15minutes.

I used a 20LB leader line.
I tried many lures.
Finally, I hooked 5 barramundis but lost 3.

The water was very brown in colour.
After all, today's hit lure was Mongrel 90mm / Aussie Herring.

Saturday afternoon Barramundi #836-837 SQUIDGY PRO MONGREL Mud crab from Mr. Adam Thacker

It's a cloudy day.
I went to see a physiotherapist at 10:15am.
My left arm, hand and shoulder have been benumbed with some pains.

A big rain started.
I received a message from GP doctor.
She would like to discuss my test results with me. ┐（~ー~;）┌
Probably, I'll have an operation in near future.
It can not be helped.
I'm 53 years old now.
I looked up at the lead-coloured sky, and sighed.

I received an another message from my very good friend, Mr. Adam Thacker.
He caught some nice mud crabs in Darwin Harbour this morning.
He had a big mud crab for me as well.
So I went to get my mud crab at Adam's place.
His house is very nice and tropical in building.
I long for his life style very much.
I want to introduce his nice and tropical house to my home country people.

Adam cooked and gave a big mud crab to me.
It's very juicy and delicious.
This year's very first mud crab for me.
Adam's big Christmas gifts made me very happy!

That was wine shop recommended for my special dinner tonight.

I went to FISHING and OUTDOOR WORLD.
Mr. Matt West who was the champion of Barra Classic 2010 repaired my fishing rod.

I love Darwin very much.

By the way, we had a big rain but short rain this morning.
It was thought that the water of the sea wasn't very dirty.
I went to Ben's Point.

I walked through the mangroves for 10 minutes.
It's a shortcut to Ben's Point.

I fished at the timing of the first incoming tide.
The fish window here was very short.
Only 15 minutes.
The water was muddy.
I cast Mongrel and retrieved it in the lower range of the water.

Friday night 56cm Urban Barramundi #835 LIVELY LURES MAD MULLET

First, I caught a small barramundi at the mouth of the small creek tonight.
The creek became so low that I could wade through it.
I kept wading through the shallow of Mindil.
No moon light.
Very dark.

I must look out for crocodiles.
A crocodile, 2.5metres in length was found in this water.
I saw it before.

But the tide was very good.
The surface of the sea was slightly wavy.
It's an ideal situation.

No rain time more than 24 hours between a big rain and a big rain is very nice for catching a barramundi in the wet season.
If the surface of the sea is not very calm or very wavy, it should be a very good time for catching a barramundi on our shallows.

I knew that CRAIG'S FISHING WAREHOUSE had LIVELY LURES MAD MULLET shallow-divers.
And so I went to get it after work.
Fortunately, I found a green one.

I used it on our Mindil shallow tonight.
Bingo!

Thursday night 64cm Urban Barramundi #833 Reidy's HELLRAISER

I thought that the prototype was a high-performance lure a year ago.
Now, Reidy's HELLRAISER we've been waiting for for so long is at our local fishing shop.

The tide was very good.
The surface of the sea was slightly wavy, and so it's very nice.
The water current was strong on the shallow water of an urban small creek.
In addition, no moon light.
I chose a new Reidy's HELLRAISER / KARENS PEARL.
HELLRAISER is a shallow-diver lure.
But it's very different from the other shallow-diver lures.
HELLRAISER can swim at the slightly deeper range of the water.
Therefore, I need to negotiate with oyster-rocks on HELLRAISER under the water.
That's why we can catch more smart-thinking barramundis.

Tuesday night 78cm Urban Barramundi #832 LIVELY LURES MAD MULLET

Knowing that Mr. Sean Anderson caught a 106cm urban barramundi by land based with LIVELY LURES / MAD MULLET in 2012, I tried to use it for my land based barramundi fishing.

It's a surprisingly very nice lure!
Swim very well!
Easily control it!

The tide was very good tonight.
The surface of the sea was very rippled.  It's very nice!
It's a day of the full moon.
I haven't caught many fishes when the moon was full.
ｖ(｡・・｡) 
I didn't catch any fishes at the full moon last time.
Probably, the tides were too big.

The urban small creek is very narrow.
Only 1.5m wide.

78cm very fat barramundi ran very hard on that narrow water.

I went to Ben's point after taking a picture of Steve's barramundi.
I took a lunch at the petrol station on the way to Ben's point.
I walked through the mangroves.
Ben's point had not had deep enough water when I arrived at the rocks.
I waited for the tide was coming.

15minutes passed.

The incoming tide arrived at the rocks.
The water was clearer than yesterday.

My Mongrel was taken by a strong barramundi at the second cast.
I hooked him just after the first 'Stop and Go'.

Sunday morning Urban Barramundi ZEREK LIVE CHERABIN Mr. Steve Osborne

The tide was about to stop just before the lowest tide.
Steve retrieved his today's lure as slow as possible.
He didn't put any actions on lure with his fishing rod.
He's using a very nice bait-cast reel today.
Probably, he put some irregular actions on lure with his line winding method.

Probably, 50cm and larger barramundi in size.
