So I cast SQUIDGY FISH/MINT JELLY and then put actions to it with Stop and Go.
After long pause, this Barramundi hit it.

Friday evening The cold water Flathead 21 SQUIDGY FISH

Probably, SQUIDGY FISH/MINT JELLY looked Whiting to Flathead.
There were many Whiting on the shore in the dry season.

Stop and Go did always work for catching Flathead.
Retrieve and then long pause should be very effective around here.

Friday evening The cold water Barramundi 616-617 RAPALA FLATLAP 8 バラマンディールアー

The water temperature was much lower than the wet season.
The water was very cold and very clear.

Firstly, I tried to catch a Bream by popper.
I had a very good hit at the first cast.
That's surely a Bream.
But I lost him.

Secondly, I used RAPALA FLATLAP 8.
I twitched it so hard.

Serious damage to the double hook was caused by the cold water silver-white Barramundi.

Thursday night The cold water Barramundi 615 SQUIDGY FISH バラマンディールアー

The water was very cold.

I caught a small white-silver Barramundi.

I wanted to continue fishing but I had to give up fishing tonight because I saw a very big shark's water-splash.

It's a 5m long and 1m high splash.

By the way,

I arrived at the conclusion that Barramundi could adapt themselves to the change in their surroundings in water temperature at the change of seasons.

Originally, Barramundi can't maintain an even-body temperature to the sudden changing water temperatures.
Therefore, they are very sensitive to heat and cold, especially very cold and ascending water temperature. 

Therefore, once the body temperature went down, the metabolism also went down, and then Barramundi didn't feel hungry so much.

Barramundi's quiet seasons were in March, May and September.  

Especially, September was the quietest time for catching Barramundi.

I couldn't catch many Barramundis in September every year.
March was told as Run-off in the wet land, but much quieter than April on the shore.
May wasn't very bad, but quieter than June, July.

However, once the water temperature became stable, Barramundi became very active.
                                                                                                                                                          

Under the condition of the cold water, Barramundi changed into silver-white body as follows,

This silver-white body itself suited the cold water very well.
Off course, the differences depend on individual Barramundi.

Barramundi with a typical white body in the dry season.

A white-silver Barramundi is normally full of life.

We must catch Bream by lures. 23days to go to the competition. BBBDHI

This competition should be not easy for all anglers.
● We must catch Barramundi and Bream.

I think

We can catch a Barramundi very easy in Darwin.
But we, Darwin's anglers, don't know how to catch a Bream by lures very well.
Because Barramundi and Rockcod disturb our Bream-fishing by lures in Darwin.

That's why I had to catch Breams in these days.

Wednesday evening The cold water Barramundi 614 バラマンディールアー

The water was very cold.

I was afraid of crocodile and shark because I waded into the knee deep water.
I saw a 2m and larger crocodile in the dry season last year around this place.
My very good friend, Stephen, and I saw two big sharks chasing big mullets in 70cm deep water last Sunday.

Fortunately, the moon was just above mine tonight.

June and July and August are very good for catching very healthy and beautiful Barramundi on the shore.

● September is the hardest time for catching Barramundi on the shore.

World Best Knot-Out Tools

I uses an ultra light spinning tackle now.
Normally, I don't have many troubles of fishing lines these days.
However, a trouble of braid-line happen to me once a month. (Unfortunately)
Probably, beginner angler might have some troubles of braid-lines weekly.

Trouble: Tangled braid-lines

If you had no luck with this trouble, you had to cut 10m or 15m of braid-line.
Braid-line is very expensive.
You will be very happy if you can get a knot-out of the tangled braid-lines without cutting.

So I'll schedule to supply "World Best Knot-Out Tools" to the my blog's readers in near future.

Our cold water still produces many Barramundis on the shore.

"Our cold water still produces many Barramundis" means that we can catch many Barramundis in our dry season too.

● Our dry season shouldn't be very bad for catching Barramundi.

The start of the build-up season, September,  normally was very quiet for the land based Barramundi fishing on the shore.

Evidences of June 26, 2012 as follows,

I went fishing after work.
The water temperature was much lower than the wet season's.
I waded into the knee deep water.

Very cold!

1st. catch.  43cm Barramundi

2nd. catch.  53cm Barramundi

3rd. catch.  51cm Barramundi

4th. catch.  39cm Barramundi

Today's "Good job" lure was SQUIDGY FISH/BLACK GOLD.

The water was getting colder at that time.
I don't know why the dry season's Barramundi was more full of life than the wet season's one.
They're silver-white or white-silver in colour.
I sometimes saw a very white one too.

By the way, I don't like to put a reel on the sand.
