We had a very small rain.

I hooked up some nice sized Barramundi in these 3 days.
But I didn't land them up.
Barramundi this season shake their head very much.
Finally, I lost them.

Today's tides were very good for Point Z.
The certain place and the certain tide were always needed for my land based fishing.

I forgot something important.
I had no leader line tonight.

"It doesn't matter. ＼(*´▽｀*)／hahaha"

I had some short bites.
So I used a high rod angle.

Barra Bass and Bream Digest Harbourmasters Invitational Land-based section Mr. Steve STARLO Starling

Firstly, I'm very sory about my wrong Englsh.


Mr. Steve Starling gave us a great idea as follows,

After catching up with Darwin Land-Based fishing legend Hiro this week we were wondering what people think... should we have a separate land-based division in this year's Barra Bass & Bream Digest Harbourmasters Invitational Would appreciate your feedback... Hiro, would you compete if there was a land-based section in the tournament? Would anyone else?

Mr. Steve Starling is a very big name in fishing of Australia.
He spent one hour half in fishing with me.
Probably everybody would be surprised at the location.
The water wasn't very clean.
It's a very minor field of fishing.
However, he walked around all water sides and checked environment there.


Darwin sea isn't a good water to swim safe because of Box Jelly Fish and Crocodiles.
But it's one of the best land based fishing water near the functional city in the world.
That is what I have long been contemplating.


Thanks to his great idea, many people will know about the amazing land based fishing in the region of Darwin city.
Probably, government will think over again about keeping environment very good for the land based fishing.

I think urbanrenewal and good environment for the land based fishing will be compatible with each other in Darwin. There are some ways out of this dilemma.

Otherwise, this environment of the land based barramundi and bream fishing will be on the decline sooner than we have expected because of urban renewal and municipal waste.

Sam's drag tension was much softer than mine.
Now, I understood that my drag tension was too much.

He's my very good friend and a very good technical adviser.
He gave me a very expensive leader line before.
I'll start using YAMATOYO/Fluorocarbon leader line this afternoon.

It's a very fine day.
I found Allan on the rocks by chance.

The lenses of these glasses are not of the right strenth for my eyes.
I almost lost sight of him on the rocks.

The tide was very nice.
I used a heavy leader line today.
But I didn't catch a big size Barramundi here.

By the way,
Allan advised me my drag tension should be too tight.
Sam also thought so.

It's a very bad-mosquito environment.

The water was very calm.
There were some very short bites.

And then, I came to point Y.

It's just about Barramundi time!

I lost a very nice 60cm up Barramundi here too.
It's a line break again.
0.55mm Dia. 30lb SCHNEIDER was very good line.
But it's probably too thin for this rocky outcrops.
I'll change the leader line tomorrow.

I went to Point X this morning.
Allan has already arrived at there.

He said "Queenfish!".

He explained to me that a metal jig should be for the dry season and RAPALA X-RAP should be for the rainy season.

He caught this Queenfish at his 3rd. cast.
