Barramundi fishing is much different from the fishing I was used to in the other fishing. I've been obsessed with fishing Barramundi ever since I caught a wild one the first time I tried it.

Barramundi lures on River & Creek & Billabong
Major barramundi fishing in Northern Territory, Australia.
The Run Off (Mar-May):
The Kakadu region, The Daly River, Shady camp, The South Alligator River, The Mary River.
This video shows what to look for in a NT Barra Lure for Billabong Fishing.
☆A bait fish pattern
☆Diving depth of 1 metre
☆Green in colour
☆A good rattle
☆Useful loop knot
Daly River, Roper, Mary, McArthur, Finniss, Adelaide, The South and East Alligator Rivers, Bynoe Harbour, Cobourg Peninsula and Melville Island are major places too.
These above lures are popular on the river, the creek and the billabong barramundi fishing.
Very popular Australian Barramundi lures. Classic lures consistently win barramundi tournaments for anglers, mainly due to the fact that there’s a Classic Lure for each and every barra scenario – the 30 colours plus in the range see to that.
My fishing tackle for River, Creek and Billabong.
This tackle is very good for casting and trolling lures.
Lure: LUCKY CRAFT STAYSEE 90SP Ver.2
Colour: Black/Gold
Size: 90mm
Tuning: Need strong hooks and split-rings
Water: Clear - Murky on the river
Rod: WILSON & Co. Live Fibre Teritory Barra 8kg
Size: 5'6'' RLFTBD81 Medium Heavy Power
Grip: 1&1/2 handed deluxe
Reel: SHIMANO CURADO 300E
Max drg: 7kg
Tuning: Changed SS Bearings into ARB
Line: Power Pro PE50LB
Leader: Seaguar FLUOROCARBON 0.62mm Dia. at least!
Knot: The kaneit knot
High strength, abrasion resistance and durability
I think that the abrasion resistance is the most important factor for the barramundi fishing.
The drag sometimes must lock up barramundi in response to the necessity.
Mr. Jason Medcalf is talking tackle for catching Barramundi on the above video.

Very tough days for the shore based barramundi fishing in Darwin city & How to use the Barra Fizzer
November and December,
Recently, we got every day of much on rain.
It muddies the sea water, it whites the sea water, which can put fish back in deeper sea water.
That mainly applies to shore in Darwin city.
Boat anglers still have caught some fishes.
He thinks that November and December were very tough condition for the shore based barramundi fishing in Darwin city.
April - July Very clear water
BOMBER LONG A BANANA did waork very well.
August - October Clear - Murky water
REBEL MINNOW Black/Gold did work very well.
November - December Whitish water
RAPALA FLATRAP Green/Black/Gold did work very well.
Many small crabs have disappeared from the rocky outcrops???
The bait fishes have gone somewhere???
Wavy days too.
Young friend Mario caught some big barramundis at Buffalo creek by boat in December.
92cm (・_・;)Great!
Barramundis are surely living somewhere, and they must eat something.
They are waiting for baits at a small stream mouth of the creek in rainy days.
By the way,
Have you used the barra fizzer?
Amaging video!
This video shows how to use the barra fizzer.
I learned the important line slack from this video.
Thank you very much for porosus36's nice video. ( ^ ^ )Y
Very nice underwater shot.
Therefore, top water lures are very exciting.
Mr.Matt West (Barramundi Classic 2010 Champion) recommended me a black fizzer for the muddy water.
It should be good for the night time too.

How to skip the rubber jig with baitcasters
Probably, many barramundi anglers need very efficient casting in the cover.
It's not a "Piching".
It's not a "Flipping".
It's a "Skipping".
I'd like to know how to skip the jig with baitcasters and not get a backlash.
Most people can not do this and mastering this skill will give me more barramundis.
SKIPPING TECHNIQUE
Basically,
Tighten the brakes.
Use rubber jig.
Try filling the spool half way with thick line.
Control the cast by thumbing or feathering the spool???
It's very hard to do it.
I'm aiming at this skill.
This above video shows very nice skipping cast with a rubber jig.
Thank you very much for skipskipboss's nice video.
Practice, practice, practice. (ー。ー)
